environmentally responsible livestock breeding
Consorcio Prime del Uruguay is a private business of grass-fed livestock breeding located in the county of Flores, Uruguay.
Their business relies on the exporting of premium beef to the world. CPU has developed a hybrid between the Wagyu breed—considered the best beef in the world—and the local Hereford and Angus cattle, with the added procreation advantages of these breeds. This hybrid results in an excellent product, which is superior to the rest of the beef available in the international market.
The company's philosophy is preventing any unnecessary cruelty to animals and has an ISO-9000 certification that guarantees this in breeding, transport and dressing processes, all of them being carried out respecting the principles and norms of the international animal welfare policy.
This policy, besides assuring the non-suffering of the animals, is seen as an investment that minimizes problems and losses in each of the stages of the process and consequently favors productivity in each link of the production chain.
As for the design, the created mark is comprised of a synthesized frontal silhouette of the face of the Wagyu cattle, in which the prominent pointy horns stand out, since they are the main feature of this breed.
The star and the rhombus container of the symbol in combination with the acronym of the brand, reflect the premium value of the product. The overall composition, together with the color palette defined in gold and navy blue, symbolize a quality seal.
